Your website says there is no office in my area, but I believe there is one not far away. Will that office come to my area?
Depending on several variables, that office may be able to come to your area. Give them a call or send them an email and someone will be in touch to determine if they can help you.
Can I get a ballpark figure of how much it will cost to clean my home?
The best way to determine the cost of cleaning your home is through a free in-home consultation. If that is not possible, you can also call your local office and provide them with a description of your home and areas requiring cleaning. Though the quote won't be fully accurate, it should give you an approximate idea of the costs, which we can confirm upon our arrival. Every home is different, and we must take into account variables like clutter, pets, and lifestyle, which can all impact your price.
Do you have cleaning packages?
Yes, in addition to our customized cleans, we do offer a number of cleaning packages.
A few popular options include move in and move out cleans, spring cleans, special occasion cleans, basic cleans, deep cleans, and premium service cleans. A free in-home consultation is the easiest way to determine which cleaning will best suit your needs and we recommend you contact your local office for more information.
Do you bring your own cleaning supplies, chemicals and equipment?
Yes, we bring everything we need to clean your home including our own specially formulated, green-certified cleaning solutions that provide superior sanitization, colour-coded microfiber cloths that trap more dirt and prevent cross-contamination, and green-label certified vacuums that are proven to improve air quality. You don't need to supply a thing.
Do you clean homes just once, or do you have to clean long-term?
We offer a variety of flexible cleaning services to best suit our customers' needs. From weekly, biweekly, special occasions, move in or move out cleanings, Merry Maids is there for you when you need us. While at your home we can also provide specialized services including fridge, oven, and window cleaning. If there is ever a concern with any of our services, we will happily return to your home and re-clean the problem area at no additional charge. Your satisfaction is our #1 priority.
How many people will be in my home during each cleaning?
Typically, there will be two people in your home - a team captain and a team member. On rare occasions, there may be three people or one person. For example, if you need emergency help fast, the office staff may send three people to do the job. If your home is very small, one person may be able to complete the job quickly and thoroughly. We will work with you so you know how many people will be in your home. We understand that your home is private and respect the trust you place in us by inviting us into your home.
If I sign up for long-term service, will the same person clean my home each time?
We make every effort to ensure that one of the two team members who serve your home cleans during each visit. If a member of the team changes, our office staff contacts you beforehand to determine if you would prefer that someone other than your team cleans, or if you would rather change your scheduled day so your favourite team member can clean. We will always do our best to accommodate your needs and preferences.
What time will you be at my home?
If you would like us to be at your home at a specific time, we recommend that you sign up for service at the beginning of the day. Unless you are the first cleaning of the day, we cannot guarantee we will arrive at an exact time, but we will do our best to arrive within an hour of your requested time. As we clean homes during the day, we often encounter things that delay our arrival at our next home, like traffic, or a customer who would like some additional help. For midday service, we give you a window of time for our arrival.
What is the difference between Merry Maids and another cleaning service?

If there is a problem, who can I call?
If you see a problem while the team is in your home, you can talk to the team captain, who will make immediate efforts to correct the problem. Or you can contact the office staff, who will work with the team to quickly correct the problem and enforce our guarantee.

I would like to give a gift card for a whole house cleaning. Can you tell me how much to spend?
It is easier to provide an accurate estimate after completing an in-home consultation, however, we understand this isn't always possible.
